Yard waste: Wednesday (Seasonal, March-December)
Trash: Bins should be at the curb no earlier than Sunday evening and should be removed from the curb no later than Monday evening.
Recycling: All items must be placed in recycling containers. Recycling will not be picked up in plastic bags. Click here to go to Republic's FAQ page, select Recycling from the left menu.
Yard Waste: Fairfax County Yard Waste Disposal starts in the first week of March each year and ends in the last week of December. Grass clippings and leaves are to be placed curbside in brown paper bags or un-bagged in a personal container clearly marked “yard waste”. Yard waste in plastic will not be picked up. Each tree limb or piece of brush must be no longer than 4 feet in length and 3 inches thick in diameter. Limbs and brush must be bundled with rope or twine for ease of collection and placement into the truck. Items that are bagged, bundled or placed in your cart may not exceed 50 lb. Mulch, dirt, rock, and sod can NOT placed curbside.
Bulk Items: Pick up of items such as furniture must be pre-scheduled with Republic. There is an additional charge for bulk items.
